Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge

Location & Natural Setting

Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge sits within the secluded Wogakuria Hills of the Northern Serengeti, an area known for its rolling grasslands, open woodlands, and tree-lined watercourses. Together, these varied landscapes create a diverse habitat that supports wildlife throughout the year. Moreover, the lodge lies near the Mara River, close to the Serengeti’s border with Kenya’s Maasai Mara. As a result, it occupies a prime position along the main corridor of the famous wildebeest migration, which passes through the area from July to October.

Luxury & Tented Suites

In addition to its remarkable location, the lodge delivers an exceptional level of luxury and elegance. Guests can either unwind in refined comfort or, alternatively, explore the Northern Serengeti’s abundant wildlife with expert guides in open 4×4 vehicles—all while avoiding the usual crowds. Large granite boulders and dramatic kopjes define the lodge’s setting, while 15 spacious, glass-fronted tented suites rest discreetly among the rocks. Consequently, each suite enjoys complete privacy and sweeping views from its open deck.

Inside, the suites showcase a sophisticated contemporary design that blends modern comfort with authentic African accents. At the same time, the thoughtful layout enhances both relaxation and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

Public Areas, Dining & Wellness

The lodge’s shared spaces center around the impressive kopjes, thereby offering panoramic views across the grasslands from the bar, lounge, dining areas, and swimming pool. Furthermore, guests can enjoy a wide range of dining experiences, with flavorful meals served either at the lodge or in scenic bush settings. Menus feature a selection of starters, main courses, desserts, and house drinks, ensuring variety and quality throughout the stay.

Before afternoon game drives, the lodge serves tea, while later, sunset cocktails take place atop a kopje with sweeping views toward the distant Isuria Escarpment in the Maasai Mara. Finally, for moments of pure relaxation, the Melengali Spa offers indulgent massages and manicures in a separate tent, allowing guests to unwind in a peaceful, natural environment.
