Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Beginning Your 6-Day Mid-Luxury Highlights of Tanzania

Welcome to Tanzania! An Exodus Safari representative will greet you at the airport and drive you to your mid-luxury accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can unwind and prepare for the safari ahead. Moreover, the lively town of Arusha gives you a first glimpse of Northern Tanzania’s unique culture and energy.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your guide will collect you for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. As you enter the park, massive baobab trees and large elephant herds immediately set the tone for an exciting day. Tarangire River attracts countless animals in the dry season, so you may also see giraffes, zebras, bushbucks, and predators such as lions or leopards. Because Tarangire hosts more breeding bird species than anywhere else on Earth, bird lovers will enjoy exceptional sightings.

You will eat lunch at a picnic site inside the park before heading to your mid-luxury lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, your journey continues toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will stop at the crater viewpoint to admire its breathtaking scenery. Soon after, you proceed toward the Serengeti, entering from the southern plains.

The Serengeti’s wide grasslands offer excellent opportunities to see wildlife. Additionally, it is home to the world-famous Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes move in search of fresh grazing. Depending on the month of your visit, you may witness one of nature’s most spectacular events. After a picnic lunch, you continue game viewing before settling into your luxury tented camp.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Today you explore the Serengeti in depth. The central region, also known as Seronera, offers some of the best year-round wildlife viewing. You may encounter elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and antelopes, along with predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Furthermore, the Retima Hippo Pool provides a close look at large hippo pods.

You may choose early morning and late afternoon game drives with lunch at camp, or opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you begin your drive toward the Ngorongoro Crater. As you travel, enjoy additional wildlife sightings along the way. Formed three million years ago, the crater contains sweeping savannahs, woodlands, and sparkling lakes. When you descend into the crater, the adventure continues as you encounter wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, hyenas, and more than 500 bird species. The crater also offers one of the best chances to spot the endangered black rhino.

After a full afternoon of game viewing, you return to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park and Departure
