Itinerary in Detail

Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek

Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, you’ll be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Windhoek. After settling in, meet your guide for a detailed briefing about the adventure ahead. If time allows, enjoy a short city orientation tour, visiting landmarks such as the Christuskirche, Independence Memorial Museum, and the craft markets showcasing handmade Namibian souvenirs.

In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner where you can try local dishes, perhaps game meat or Namibian-inspired cuisine.

Day 2: Windhoek – Namib Desert (Sossusvlei Region)

After breakfast, leave Windhoek and journey south-west into the vast Namib Desert. The drive takes you through ever-changing landscapes from rolling hills to endless gravel plains and mountain ranges. Along the way, stop at Solitaire, a quirky settlement famous for its rustic charm and legendary apple pie.

By afternoon, arrive at your lodge near Sesriem, the gateway to Sossusvlei. As the sun begins to set, take a gentle walk to a nearby dune or viewpoint. The evening sky, painted in shades of orange and pink, sets the tone for the desert wonders awaiting you tomorrow.

Day 3: Sossusvlei, Deadvlei & Sesriem Canyon

Climb Dune 45 or Big Daddy for panoramic views of the surrounding desert. Continue to Deadvlei, an otherworldly white clay pan scattered with ancient, blackened camelthorn trees, offering one of the most striking landscapes in all of Africa.

Later, explore Sesriem Canyon, a natural gorge carved by the Tsauchab River over centuries. Return to your lodge for a relaxed afternoon by the pool or enjoying the stillness of the desert.

Day 4: Namib Desert – Swakopmund (Atlantic Coast)

After breakfast, begin your journey toward Namibia’s Atlantic Coast. The route leads you through Namib-Naukluft National Park, where you may spot ostriches, oryx, and springbok roaming the arid plains. Arrive in Swakopmund by afternoon a charming coastal town where the desert meets the sea.

Take a leisurely walk along the beach promenade, admire the German colonial architecture, or simply relax and breathe in the cool ocean air. In the evening, enjoy fresh seafood at one of Swakopmund’s popular restaurants.

Day 5: Swakopmund – Damaraland

After breakfast, continue north into Damaraland, one of Namibia’s most scenic regions. Along the way, admire the rugged mountains and dramatic landscapes. Stop to see the famous Twyfelfontein rock engravings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 2,500 images created by the San people thousands of years ago. Also explore natural wonders like the Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain.

Day 6: Damaraland – Etosha National Park

In the evening, relax at your lodge and perhaps watch animals gather at a nearby illuminated waterhole a magical experience unique to Etosha.

Day 7: Etosha – Windhoek & Departure
