Join our 13 Days Uganda and Rwanda safari to see the big five animals and also to trek gorillas, chimpanzees and Golden monkeys. This 13 days Uganda and Rwanda safari starts from Entebbe and ends in Kigali. The trip takes you to visit some of the famous sites in both countries, including; Murchison Falls park, Kibale forest park, Bwindi park, Volcanoes park and Lake Kivu. Make use of the East African tourist visa to visit both countries, without worrying about the boarders.
After an early breakfast, your driver-guide from AA Safaris & Tours Ltd will pick you up from your hotel and set off for Murchison Falls. Along the way, you’ll pass through the historic Luwero Triangle, a region notable for the 1980s NRM war, while enjoying views of lush countryside. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to see the reintroduced rhinos, before continuing to Masindi for lunch. Later, hike to the top of the Nile to marvel at the breathtaking sight of Murchison Falls as the river squeezes through a narrow gorge. Dinner and overnight at:

Start the day with an early morning game drive across the savannah, spotting wildlife such as hartebeest, Uganda kob, lions, waterbuck, buffalo, oribi, and baboons, among others. After breakfast, head to Budongo Forest, famous for its rich biodiversity, for a chimpanzee trekking adventure. Encounter our closest relatives among the estimated 800 chimp population, along with other primates such as vervet monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus, and baboons. Enjoy an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing before starting your golden monkey trek. These rare primates, found only in the Virunga Mountains, are a delight to watch as they leap through bamboo forests. The trek takes about 2–4 hours. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, hike to the Dian Fossey Tombs to learn about her remarkable conservation work with gorillas, made famous by the film Gorillas in the Mist. Later, drive to Kigali for a city tour including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, craft shops, and local markets. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
In the morning, drive to Lake Kivu for a boat ride, enjoying birdwatching and scenic views of the surrounding hills. After lunch, visit Bisesero and Murambi genocide memorials, where you’ll hear the moving stories of Rwanda’s past. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

This 3-day mid-range safari package is designed to offer our clients an intense taste of what Tanzania has to offer. We will experience all the excitement of an African wildlife safari in the most spectacular of landscapes. On this safari, we’ll visit Tarangire National Park, renowned for its elephant families and iconic baobab trees. Roaming onwards we experience the jewel that is Ngorongoro Crater, breathtakingly beautiful, and the best place in Tanzania to see the Big Five.
You will be picked up from the airport by a Africa Joy Tours representative and conveyed to your accommodation in Arusha. Here you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come. Our partner lodge, the Arusha Planet Lodge, is an oasis of calm and aesthetic pleasure.

Our safari guide will collect you from the lodge in Arusha for the drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Tarangire, best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, and seasonal swamps, is home to the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest are often seen. The park is also home to buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest. These animals are closely attended by a range of predators, our Panthera friends, lion, and leopard. From the open roof of the truck, we will have the opportunity to absorb the landscapes and view the wildlife.
After a full day in the park, we will drive to the excellently appointed lodge (Karatu). Here we will enjoy dinner in the aesthetically delightful restaurant, relax, and spend the night in her capacious rooms.

Rise and shine! It’s an early departure for us today to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the seven wonders of Africa. Once we have reached the crater rim, we rumble down a steep track into the 600 m deep caldera, noting our passage through several climatic zones, to see a range of animals and birds. The caldera (collapsed volcano) is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the “Big Five”, lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard, to hippo, wildebeest, zebra, hyena, and more than 500 species of birds.
After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, we will return to Arusha arriving early in the evening.
