Depart Arusha in the morning for Lake Manyara. Afternoon game drive, dinner, and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena lodge. Located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park offers varied ecosystems, incredible birdlife, and breathtaking views. Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions are another reason to pay this park a visit. The only kind of their species in the world, they make the ancient mahogany and elegant acacias their home during the rainy season and are a well-known but rather rare feature of the northern park. In addition to the lions, the national park is also home to the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world — a fact that makes for interesting game viewing of large families of the primates.

Full day in Serengeti plains in search of the big 5 Morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge, Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometers of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park It is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge, or crocodile infested river can hold them back. This day we will start early morning at 07:00 for the game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animal’s Meals and overnight
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge: Beds, Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch.
Today we start very early at 07:00 am, with a packed picnic lunchbox, for the game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, a population of approximately 25,000 large animals can be seen. This is reputedly the highest density of mammalian predators in Africa. The crater has the highest known population of mountain reedbuck, zebra, gazelle, and wildebeest. It is also known for the big five rhino, lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. Your driver/guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating hidden animals. The birdlife is prolific here and up to 100 species can be seen in one day. In the middle of the crater there is a large lake inhabited by hundreds of flamingos and from a distance appears as a pink border around the lake. With late afternoon approaching, while the east African sunset colors take your breath away, we will be leaving the Ngorongoro Crater and heading back – Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

After breakfast, we set off for Tarangire National Park, famous for its tree climbing pythons, massive baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Tarangire National Park may be small but it is still home to a significant wildlife population, with a density of wildlife matched only by Ngorongoro. In the afternoon we travel back to Arusha.

After breakfast, we travel back to Arusha Airport for the flight to Zanzibar.
Arrive in Zanzibar you will meet us at the airport and pick up you with a private transfer to Nungwi.
Dinner and overnight at The Nungwi Inn Hotel (Bed and breakfast).
Today you will go on an excursion to the spice and fruit plantations close to Stone town for the famous Spice Tour. We have developed a special spice tour with in-depth information not only about spices but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description of their traditional uses in medicine cosmetics and cooking. After the tour, we invite you to an opulent lunch at our guides’ home, where you can taste the spices and fruits. After lunch, we take you to your beach resort. On the way, you will pass Jozani Forest, the last habitat of the rare endemic Red Colobus Monkey. With a local guide, you stroll through Jozani Chwaka National Park and look at the rare monkeys. If you wish you can even wander down the boardwalk to the fascinating Mangrove Ecosystem.

Today you will visit Kizimkazi. Situated on the southern point of the island, Kizimkazi fishing village is home to several schools of bottle-nosed dolphins and Humpback dolphins, which can often be sighted following a short boat trip from the village. If you are lucky, you may be able to swim quite close to the dolphins, which can be a very rewarding experience. We are doing this trip in the afternoon to avoid the crowds of tourists in the morning, which in big numbers disturbing the dolphins.

Snorkeling in Zanzibar is an experience of a lifetime. Unlike many other popular snorkeling destinations around the world, it is still possible to find places that have never been explored along the coast. The many varieties of coral provide a home to thousands of colorful and exotic creatures, including blue ribbon tail rays, firefish, and for the “Finding Nemo” fans, clownfish.

Depending on your flight schedule and departure point, you will be transferred to the Zanzibar Airport to take a flight back home. If you are flying out of Dar Es Salaam or Nairobi, we will arrange a connection flight for you to catch your flight back home.
