This tour provides the best adventures and sights from lemurs, baobabs, rainforests, deserts, hiking, to diving. The perfect destination for adventurous travelers from singles to scheduled groups to discover in the East is the rainforests of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park to meet Indri-Indri, moving northward to Nosy-Be, where you admire all the small islands such as Nosy Taninkely, Nosy Komba, Nosy Iranja, the sunset, the beach, and the city of Hell Ville itself.

Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo
You will be greeted on arrival by your English-speaking guide from I Travel 2 Madagascar, who will help you finish all the formalities and transfer you to the hotel.
Antananarivo is also known by its colonial short form, Tana, which is the capital and largest city of Madagascar in the Analamanga region. The city sits at 1,280 m above sea level in the center of the island, making it the highest national capital by elevation among the island countries. It has been the country’s largest population center since at least the 18th century. It is also called the city of the Thousand Soldiers.

Day 2: Antananarivo-Andasibe
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll depart for a visit to the Peyreiras Reptile Reserve (3 hours on drive) to see up close captive panther chameleons, island chameleons, stump-tail chameleons, Brookesia chameleons, golden mantella frogs, tomato frogs, Madagascar tree boas, leaf-nose snakes, cat-eyed snakes, tenrecs, and numerous species of leaf-tailed geckos. The curators of the reserve usually take the animals out of their enclosures to allow close photographs. You’ll continue to Andasibe with stops at the landscapes for photos and any breaks if necessary.

Day 3: Andasibe-Antananarivo
After breakfast, you’ll meet with your guide for a visit to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park and trek along trails to see wild diademed sifakas, woolly sifakas, common brown lemurs, and the famous Indri Indri. You will explore the trails for orchids and birdlife. In the afternoon, you will visit the Vakona Lodge’s reserve to see common brown sifaka, grey bamboo lemurs, and black and white ruffed lemurs. You’ll head back to Antananarivo with stops along the road for pictures.

Day 4: Antananarivo-Nosy Be
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll transfer directly to Antananarivo Airport for a flight to Nosy Be, located in the Mozambique Channel; its name means “big island,” and the climate is nearly perfect all year. Nosy-Be is an island off the northwest coast of Madagascar. Nosy Be is Madagascar’s largest and busiest tourist destination. It has an area of 320.02 km². Nosy Be is located about 8 kilometers from the coast of Madagascar in the Mozambique Channel; several smaller islands are located nearby, including Nosy Komba, Nosy Mitsio, Nosy Sakatia, and Nosy Tanikely. The island’s main town is Andoany, commonly known as Hell-Ville. The volcanic island has an area of about 312 km², 19 km wide, and its highest peak is Mont Lokobe at 450 m.

Day 5: Nosy Komba and Nosy Taninkely
Excursions to Nosy Tanikely, a marine reserve, lure snorkelers and bird enthusiasts. It is a lovely little island. In clear water, you can see an amazing variety of marine life: coral, starfish, anemones, every color and shape of fish, turtles, and lobsters. You may see black and brown lemurs, flying foxes, and graceful white-tailed tropic birds, and then the short climb up to the lighthouse at the top of the island.
Late in the afternoon, admiring the sunset at Mont Passot, which is one of the island’s highest points, which is about 326 m.

Day 6: Nosy Iranja
Excursion to Nosy Iranja, 50 km southwest of Nosy Be; this is actually a pair of small islands connected by a 1.25 km sandbar (walkable at low tide). It has incredibly clear turquoise waters, beautiful white beaches, and a charming old lighthouse.
The gorgeous Nosy Iranja, southwest of Nosy Be, consists of two islands: the larger, inhabited Nosy Iranja Be (about 2 sq km) and tiny Nosy Iranja Kely (0.13 sq km). The islands are connected by a 1.5 km-long sand bar, negotiable on foot at low tide. Sea turtles regularly lay eggs on the beaches.

Day 7: Nosy Be-Antananarivo
A visit to the island of Nosy Be by car will be organized where you discover Andilana Beach, the cascade, and sacred trees.
One of our guides will transfer you to the airport for the departure to Antananarivo.
Antananarivo was historically the capital of the Merina people, who continue to form the majority of the city’s inhabitants. All eighteen Malagasy ethnic groups, as well as residents of Chinese, Indian, European, and other origins, are represented in the city.

This 3-day mid-range safari package is designed to offer our clients an intense taste of what Tanzania has to offer. We will experience all the excitement of an African wildlife safari in the most spectacular of landscapes. On this safari, we’ll visit Tarangire National Park, renowned for its elephant families and iconic baobab trees. Roaming onwards we experience the jewel that is Ngorongoro Crater, breathtakingly beautiful, and the best place in Tanzania to see the Big Five.
Day 1 Arrival in Arusha
You will be picked up from the airport by a Africa Joy Tours representative and conveyed to your accommodation in Arusha. Here you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come. Our partner lodge, the Arusha Planet Lodge, is an oasis of calm and aesthetic pleasure.

Day: 2 Tarangire National Park
Our safari guide will collect you from the lodge in Arusha for the drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Tarangire, best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, and seasonal swamps, is home to the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest are often seen. The park is also home to buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest. These animals are closely attended by a range of predators, our Panthera friends, lion, and leopard. From the open roof of the truck, we will have the opportunity to absorb the landscapes and view the wildlife.
After a full day in the park, we will drive to the excellently appointed lodge (Karatu). Here we will enjoy dinner in the aesthetically delightful restaurant, relax, and spend the night in her capacious rooms.

Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Rise and shine! It’s an early departure for us today to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the seven wonders of Africa. Once we have reached the crater rim, we rumble down a steep track into the 600 m deep caldera, noting our passage through several climatic zones, to see a range of animals and birds. The caldera (collapsed volcano) is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the “Big Five”, lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard, to hippo, wildebeest, zebra, hyena, and more than 500 species of birds.
After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, we will return to Arusha arriving early in the evening.
