On this 7-day safari, you will experience the best Tanzania has to offer, including 3 nights in the Serengeti. You will experience breathtaking wildlife in the midst of some of the most diverse landscapes; lions in trees, elephants travelling through the bush, and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. You will visit the iconic Serengeti National Park which is home to 3 million animals. You will have countless mesmerizing moments, and with a bit of luck, you will see the Big Five!
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, an Exodus Safari representative will greet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax and unwind or explore the bustling safari hub of Arusha before your adventure begins.
After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up and drive you to Tarangire National Park, a journey of approximately 2.5 hours on well-paved roads.
Famous for its large elephant herds, Tarangire is home to diverse wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, bushbucks, and hartebeests, often trailed by predators such as lions and leopards. The park also hosts the world’s highest number of breeding bird species and is dotted with ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your game drive. Later, you will head to Karatu for the night.
After an early breakfast, you will drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping to admire the stunning Ngorongoro Crater from a scenic viewpoint. You will then proceed toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, entering through its southern region.
The Serengeti is a vast ecosystem famous for its open grasslands and extraordinary wildlife, including the Big Five. It is also home to the Great Migration, where wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes move in search of fresh grazing throughout the year. Depending on the season, your accommodation may change to bring you closer to the migrating herds.
Today is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti’s diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. The park is home to buffalos, impalas, crocodiles, hippos, and big cats such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
Depending on the location of the Great Migration, you may venture beyond the Central Serengeti to witness this breathtaking natural phenomenon. A picnic lunch will be provided in the park.
You have another full day to explore the Serengeti at your own pace. You may opt for an early morning game drive to witness predators in action, return to camp for a relaxing lunch, and head out again in the late afternoon.
Every day in the Serengeti is unique, offering new wildlife encounters and photographic opportunities.
Wake up early for a final sunrise game drive in Serengeti before heading toward Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most incredible natural wonders.
The crater, formed over two million years ago, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dense wildlife populations. The crater floor is home to wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, buffalos, and hippos, as well as hyenas, cheetahs, and jackals. It is also one of the best places to see the endangered black rhino.
After a game drive and a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will head back to Karatu for the evening.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse wildlife sanctuary at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, an unusual behavior seen in very few places in Africa.
Lake Manyara is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 bird species, making it a paradise for bird lovers. Its lush forests are inhabited by elephants, baboons, blue monkeys, and bushbucks, while the open plains attract buffalos, giraffes, and zebras.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before returning to Arusha. Depending on your travel plans, you will be dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Arusha Airport, or another preferred location.
We hope your adventure with Exodus Safari has been an unforgettable experience!
