Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! An Africa Joy Tours representative will pick you up from the airport and drive you to your luxury accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can unwind and prepare for your upcoming adventure.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your Africa Joy Tours guide will collect you from the hotel. You will then begin your scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. This beautiful reserve, named after the Tarangire River, becomes a major wildlife gathering point during the dry season. Elephant families dominate the landscape, while giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, lions, and leopards also roam freely. Bird lovers will find Tarangire especially rewarding with its impressive diversity. Ancient baobab trees add even more dramatic beauty to the park.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your game drive. Later, you will head to your luxury lodge in Karatu.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Your morning begins with a drive into the Ngorongoro highlands. Along the way, you will pause to admire the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint. From there, the journey continues into the legendary Serengeti. As you enter the park, the vast grasslands stretch endlessly before you, making wildlife sightings remarkably easy.

The Serengeti hosts the world-famous Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move in search of fresh grazing. Depending on the season, you may witness this breathtaking natural event.

A picnic lunch will be served en route, and you will spend the night at a luxury tented camp in Central Serengeti.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Waking up in the Serengeti is magical, especially when the sounds of birds greet the morning. Central Serengeti (Seronera) offers some of the best wildlife viewing year-round. Elephants, zebras, antelopes, hippos, and giraffes thrive here, while lions, leopards, and cheetahs remain active predators.

The Seronera River attracts countless animals and birds, and the Retima Hippo Pool offers excellent close-up sightings. You can choose between a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch or split your day into morning and afternoon drives.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, you will begin your journey toward Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, expect more spectacular wildlife sightings. Formed millions of years ago, the crater is now home to more than 30,000 animals, including endangered black rhinos, massive tusker elephants, lions, and countless other species. After an exciting afternoon of exploration inside the crater, you will head back to Karatu for the night.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park
