Join us on a short safari from Lusaka, Zambia’s capital, to Livingstone and the world famous Victoria Falls (or vice versa). Instead of travelling with bus or plane you will get an impression of Zambia’s beautiful National Parks, wildlife and nature.
This tour includes participation camping. This means that guests will have to assist with camp chores, such as setting up your tent. See the day-by-day section for a more detailed description of the camp chores.
Day 1: Lusaka to Kafue National Park
Pick up from your accommodation in Lusaka, we can still stop at a shopping center so you can buy some alcoholic drinks before we leave Lusaka early in the morning to drive to Kafue National Park. Camping on the banks of the Kafue River at a nice shady campsite. Participants are requested to help with setting up tents and loading vehicle. (-/L/D). Accommodation: Budget camping
Day 2-3: Kafue National Park
We will be staying at the central part of Kafue, Chunga region. We will spend the whole day to do game viewing in the park. Several small rivers cross this area. These leave a number of waterholes in the dry season for the animals to quench their thirst. Wild dogs, which roam large areas of the park, cheetah and lion are among the inhabitants here. Day 4: Ithezi Thezi, Southern Kafue NP
After a morning drive in the central part of the Kafue National Park we head south to Lake Ithezi-Thezi. Beautiful scenery on the lake shore and animals quenching their thurst can be watched from our campsite at Hippo Bay. Camping next to the lake. Participants are requested to help with setting up tents and loading vehicle. (FB). Accommodation: Budget camping
Day 5: Nanzhila Plains
We spend the day game viewing along the lake and carry on in southern direction to Nanzhila Plains Camp. Herds of elephants and various species of antelope can be seen on our game drives. Camping at Nanzhila Plains campsite is next to the lagoon. Participants are requested to help with setting up tents and loading vehicle. (FB). Accommodation: Budget camping
Day 6: Livingstone
Leaving Kafue National Park and drive to Livingstone. There are a lot of activities on offer: white water rafting, sundowner drift, canoeing, swimming under the Victoria Falls and Devil’s Pool and much more. Drop off at your accommodation in town. We can arrange activities and book lodge for you. (B/-/-).

A travel party of 1 or 2 people can join this group tour, but it requires a minimum of 4 people to run.
