4 Days Safari in Nyerere National Park, covering 50,000 square km, is among the largest protected area in Africa and relatively undisturbed by humans. Nyerere is rich in elephant, cheetah, giraffe, hippo’s crocodile, lions and many other species. The park also has an exceptionally high variety of habitats including Miombo woodlands. Morning pickup from hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam at 8:00 am and drive to Nyerere National Park 4 hours drive with lunches stop at restaurant in Kibiti, take a short break then proceed with the drive, arrive in afternoon and check in at the lodge, then leave for evening boat drive at Rufiji river. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Selous Safari Lodge
After breakfast from the camp with packed lunches enjoys game drive inside the park expect to see large number of animals like lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, hyena and etc. You will also see a large variety of birds, wonderful scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains. During afternoon you will take your lunch and have some rest before proceeds with the game drive and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast you will leave the lodge with a packed lunch in hand to enjoy a full day game drive in the Nyerere National Park by modified safari vehicle with a professional guide. Nyerere is well known for its animals and boat safaris. Great animals sightings including all the great favorites lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebras, elephants and all the other major species including the now rare African hunting dog. Leave for early morning walking safari in Selous Forest accompanied by our guide then return for breakfast and get prepared for returning to Dar es Salaam with packed lunches in which you’ll be dropped off at the hotel/ ferry/airport

This 3-day mid-range safari package is designed to offer our clients an intense taste of what Tanzania has to offer. We will experience all the excitement of an African wildlife safari in the most spectacular of landscapes. On this safari, we’ll visit Tarangire National Park, renowned for its elephant families and iconic baobab trees. Roaming onwards we experience the jewel that is Ngorongoro Crater, breathtakingly beautiful, and the best place in Tanzania to see the Big Five.
You will be picked up from the airport by a Africa Joy Tours representative and conveyed to your accommodation in Arusha. Here you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come. Our partner lodge, the Arusha Planet Lodge, is an oasis of calm and aesthetic pleasure.

Our safari guide will collect you from the lodge in Arusha for the drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Tarangire, best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, and seasonal swamps, is home to the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest are often seen. The park is also home to buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest. These animals are closely attended by a range of predators, our Panthera friends, lion, and leopard. From the open roof of the truck, we will have the opportunity to absorb the landscapes and view the wildlife.
After a full day in the park, we will drive to the excellently appointed lodge (Karatu). Here we will enjoy dinner in the aesthetically delightful restaurant, relax, and spend the night in her capacious rooms.

Rise and shine! It’s an early departure for us today to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the seven wonders of Africa. Once we have reached the crater rim, we rumble down a steep track into the 600 m deep caldera, noting our passage through several climatic zones, to see a range of animals and birds. The caldera (collapsed volcano) is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the “Big Five”, lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard, to hippo, wildebeest, zebra, hyena, and more than 500 species of birds.
After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, we will return to Arusha arriving early in the evening.
