This is a safari from the Mountain Gorillas of the Rwandan volcanoes to the Rift Valley Parks of Tanzania. An exploration that takes in a wide variety of East African ecosystems. We trek with the Mountain Gorillas of Rwanda in the Parc National de Volcans, We then head to the vast ecosystem of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro in Tanzania.

Day 1: Arrival
On arrival in Nairobi on Qatar or Emirates at 13hr05/14hr00 transit before connecting with the Rwandair flight to Kigali where on arrival you will be met and transferred to Chez Lando or similar for dinner and overnight. (this day is flexible and can be designed to fit in with overnight stays in Nairobi, and most international flight arrivals). Accommodation: Hotel Chez Lando
Day 2: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
After Breakfast this morning we visit the town and the genocide memorial. After lunch in town we follow the road as it climbs to the base of the majestic Volcanoes National Park, with spectacular views across the five peaks. Dinner and overnight is at La Palme. Accommodation: La Palme Hotel
Day 3: Gorilla Trek
As the first light of dawn breaks through the curtain of mist clinging to the summits of Karisimbi, Bisoke, Sabyniyo, Gahingaand Muhabura, we make our way into the Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the unique vegetation can take several hours of challenging walking in wet and muddy conditions. To see a gorilla, the trek will have been worth the hardship. Day 4: Rwanda To Tanzania
Morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Kilimanjaro on Rwandair at 06hr00 arriving 08hr15. After arrival in Kilimanjaro depart for the Ngorongoro conservation area with picnic lunch. On arrival this afternoon meet up with one of the NCAA guides to spend the rest of the afternoon trekking on the crater rim, dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge, perched on the crater rim.

Day 5: Game viewing crater before heading to Serengeti
This morning head into the crater with a picnic lunch for game viewing, mid afternoon departing for the Serengeti to spend the rest of the day game viewing en route to our camp. Dinner and overnight within our full service camp which will be located at different times of the year to maximise game viewing opportunities. Accommodation: Mid-range camp
Day 6-7: Exploring the Serengeti
Full days exploring the Serengeti, either with picnic lunch or early morning and late afternoon game drives and lunch in the camp, is is this flexibility that makes serengeti horizons the perfect base for game viewing. Dinners and overnights within Serengeti Horizons camp.
Day 8: Serengeti to Manyara
Early this morning depart the Serengeti with picnic lunch transiting through Ngorongoro for Lake Manyara, game viewing in the park before continuing on for dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Wildlife lodge for dinner and overnight, located on the escarpment with spectacular views across the lake and park. Accommodation: Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge
Day 9: Manyara To Tarangire
After breakfast this morning we depart Manyara Wildlife lodge with picnic lunch for tarangire National pArk to spend the remainder of the day game viewing in the National Park, late afternoon we make our way to Boundary Hill Lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Boundary Hill Lodge
Day 10-11: Tarangire National park
These days are spent exploring the Tarangire ecosystem, on game drives, walking safaris, night drives, making traditional bow and arrows, trying your hand at Tinga Tinga painting, and visits to the remote Masai communities found on the Masai Steppes, as well as the chance to visit a local Masai school. Dinners and overnights at Boundary Hill Lodge.
Day 12: Arusha
After breakfast this morning we have the opportunity for a Morning walk or game drive before returning to the Boundary Hill for lunch, after lunch we depart for Arusha arriving around 18hr00. (This day can be flexible to fit in with other plans, flights or transfers).
