Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

You will be picked up from the airport by an Exodus representative and driven to your accommodation in Arusha where you will overnight, relax, and prepare for the adventures ahead on your 11 Day Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Beach Holiday.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

In the morning you will be collected from your lodgings in Arusha by your personal safari guide. The drive to Tarangire takes you across gently rolling Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees. Along the way you may see Maasai herding cattle or riding bicycles. Tarangire is home to large elephant herds and many other animals. From the open roof of your safari jeep, you can explore the seasonal swamps, savanna, and the Tarangire River while searching for zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, lions, or leopards.

In the evening you will head to one of our partner lodges for dinner, relaxation, and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti

After breakfast, you continue through the fertile highlands where the Iraqw people grow wheat and corn. You then enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through its lush rainforest, home to baboons and sometimes elephants or leopards.

You will enjoy views of the Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onward to Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. Serengeti is the largest national park in Tanzania, filled with plains, lakes, mountains, and savanna. After an extended game drive, you continue to Seronera Valley for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

This full day is dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti. The park is home to impala, buffalo, crocodile, hippo, and the world-famous migrating herds of wildebeest, antelope, and zebra. Their movement depends on seasonal rains. Predators such as leopard, cheetah, and lion can also be seen fulfilling their roles in the ecosystem.

After a full day of wildlife viewing, return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing night under the African sky.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. You may spot the Big Five during your drive. The crater, one of Africa’s natural wonders and a UNESCO site, is about 600 meters deep and covers around 260 square kilometers. With approximately 25,000 animals, it offers the best game viewing in Tanzania.

After a full afternoon inside the crater, you continue to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 6: Lake Manyara to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you head to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park home to flamingos, over 500 bird species, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and sometimes tree-climbing lions. After lunch, you return to Arusha for your flight to Zanzibar (Stone Town), where your beach holiday portion of the 11 Day Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Beach Holiday begins.

Day 7–10: Stone Town to North Coast (Nungwi)

At your preferred time, you transfer to Nungwi, a lively beach destination known for dhow building, stunning sunsets, and beautiful beaches. Activities include diving, snorkeling, fishing, yoga, cycling, and village tours. You will spend four nights relaxing and enjoying the coast.

Day 11: Free Morning & Departure
