4 Day Kalahari Experience
Day 1-3: Kalahari, Botswana
You’ll be met at Maun Airport for road transfer into the Kalahari Desert National Park to Deception Valley Lodge.
The lodge is next to the north-eastern border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) in 15 000 hectares of privately owned, pristine Kalahari bush.
You’ll spend time with the Naru-speaking Bushmen. these nomadic hunter-gatherers were the first people to inhabit Southern Africa. The Kalahari is one of the last regions where the Bushmen still survive through adapting their traditional way of life, they still have a great understanding of nature and the skills to survive in bush life.
Game drives turn into adventures on and off road as you learn about the culture, skills and history of these unique people. The focus of the activities is on game sightings of the magnificent black mane Kalahari lion, eland, masque face oryx and brown hyena and sharing the experience of the ecology of the Kalahari interpreted by expert guides and Bushmen trackers.
Day 4: Depart via road transfer to Maun
