Mikumi National Park
is the fourth-largest national park, with a landscape of baobabs, black hardwood trees and grassy plains, accessible from Dar es Salaam. With almost guaranteed year-round wildlife sightings, Mikumi makes an ideal safari destination for those without much time. Within its 3230 sq km – set between the Uluguru Mountains to the northeast, the Rubeho Mountains to the northwest and the Lumango Mountains to the southeast – Mikumi hosts buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras, leopards, crocodiles and endangered wild dogs.

Day 1: Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi National Park
Pick you at the hotel in Dar – Es – Salaam airport and travel 283 kms to Mikumi National Park. lunch at the restaurant in Morogoro. After lunch proceed with a drive to the Park for evening game drive in the park. This is a home to the elephant, lion, wild dog, zebras, hyena, buffalo, wildebeest, eland, hartebeest, crocodile, and lizard. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park. Dinner and overnight: Tanapa Cottages

Day 2: Full Game Drive, Mikumi
Enjoy an early morning 4-hour game drive in the park and drive to the hotel for a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, leave the park and drive to Dar es Salaam with a lunch stop at the restaurant in Morogoro. Continue with a drive to the airport or to the hotel of your choice.
